Terms of Service

Last updated: April 28, 2026

What this page tells you: the basic rules for using EmailLeaked, what the service can and cannot promise, and how to contact us about these terms.

What this means for you

By using EmailLeaked.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the site.

Description of service

EmailLeaked provides free breach awareness tools and security education. The service lets users check whether an email address or password appears in known breach datasets, then explains common next steps such as changing reused passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and reviewing account activity.

The site may also publish breach summaries, security guides, comparison pages, checklists, and related educational resources. These pages help readers understand risk; they are not a substitute for a professional incident response investigation.

Privacy and submitted data

EmailLeaked is designed to minimize collection of personal data. Email addresses entered into the breach checker are processed in real time and are not stored by EmailLeaked as a user database.

Password checks use k-anonymity so the plaintext password is not sent to EmailLeaked. For more detail, review the Privacy Policy.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the results. If EmailLeaked reports a possible exposure, you should verify the affected account, change reused passwords, enable two-factor authentication where available, and contact the relevant service provider if you suspect unauthorized activity.

You agree not to use EmailLeaked to harass, profile, enumerate, or investigate other people without a lawful and legitimate reason.

Acceptable use

You may use the service to check your own accounts, help someone who asked for assistance, or perform legitimate security education and research.

You may not use the service to build lists of exposed people, support phishing, credential stuffing, spam, fraud, or other harmful activity. You may not use automated tools to make bulk queries or attempt to overload, scrape, bypass, or exploit the service.

No warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that breach data is complete, accurate, or up to date.

A clean result does not guarantee that your data has never been compromised. It only means your information was not found in the datasets currently checked.

Limitation of liability

EmailLeaked, its operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Intellectual property

Original content, design, branding, and code on EmailLeaked.com are the property of EmailLeaked and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

You may link to public pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not copy, reproduce, mirror, sell, or distribute substantial parts of the service without written permission.

Third-party services and links

The service may rely on third-party infrastructure, analytics, advertising, breach data providers, password checking APIs, and external security resources. Pages may also link to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites or services.

Advertising and affiliate relationships

EmailLeaked may display advertising or include affiliate links. Advertising and affiliate relationships do not change breach checker results, whether a breach is listed, or the security guidance provided on a page.

Sponsored content, if ever published, must be clearly identified.

Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, remove, or change any part of the service at any time. Some features may be affected by upstream API availability, Cloudflare infrastructure, rate limits, maintenance, or abuse-prevention controls.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
